Pricing Scientist - Parsippany, NJ

Responsibilities:

Provide data analysis based on economic theory using price segmentation, demand modeling, and pricing optimization
Provide guidance to customers and the implementation teams to ensure models perform as needed in a customer setting
Collaborate with pre-sales and marketing to formulate the pricing optimization approach, to determine the optimal pricing strategy and to enhance the product to meet customer needs
Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations in the form of customer presentations and reports

Educational Background:

Ph.D. Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline with at least 2 years performing substantive design work in demand or price optimization modeling or a Master’s degree with at least 5 years performing substantive design work in demand or price optimization modeling.

Knowledge of:

Statistical analysis, time series analysis, data mining, regression/estimation techniques & forecasting
Dynamic pricing, revenue/yield management
Demand modeling, game theory, economic analysis

Key Evaluation Criteria:

The ideal candidate will have experience in management consulting or industry experience in B2B environment
Experience at a pricing/revenue management firm is desirable
The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and quantitative skills, be outgoing and creative, take initiative, work well in groups, and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Experience with mathematical, optimization and statistics software packages is desirable
Ability to work with databases
