Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sr. Presales Analyst to join our sales organization. As a Senior Presales Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in understanding client needs, crafting tailored solutions, presenting, and demonstrating Vistaar solutions and supporting the sales process across multiple market segments. Vistaar is looking for a high-potential candidate to train and provide a wide range of experiences over the years to eventually take on a senior leadership role within the commercial/customer facing organization. The role will initially focus on the Beverage Alcohol (Liquor) industry vertical, but over time will span multiple industry verticals and functions. While the role is expected to focus on pre-sales, the candidate should expect and be open to wide-ranging broadening assignments that involve working closely with the marketing, customer success and technical/product organizations as well.  Responsibilities: 

• Client Engagement: Conduct thorough research on prospective customers, their unique requirements, and pain points.
• Sales Enablement: Collaborate closely with the sales team to create customized presentations and proposals specifically addressing prospect pricing challenges.
• Product Marketing: Maintain and curate technical documentation to ensure presentations and proposals stay current and align with product updates.
• Technical Insights: Provide product demonstrations, showcasing how our pricing solutions can optimize revenue and profitability for prospective clients.
• Industry Expertise: Dive deep into the relevant industry segments, understand market dynamics, regulatory challenges, and pricing complexities.
• Collateral Development: Develop clear and compelling presentations, proposals, and responses to RFQs/RFPs that effectively communicate the value proposition to potential clients.
• Liaison Between Teams: Act as a bridge between the sales and technical teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of solutions.
• Global Perspective: Consider regional variations in industry regulations and adapt offerings accordingly

 Required Skills: 

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in presales, sales, or a technical role within the SaaS industry.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to evaluate market trends and understand customer requirements.
• Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially when tailoring solutions for diverse base of prospects.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and propose innovative sales strategies.
• Collaboration: Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What Will You Do?

• Understanding data transformation requirements on projects from Solution Architects
• Solution environment management
  • Product installation, configuration and upgrades
  • Promotion of solution artefacts from one environment to another
  • Shell scripting / Perl scripting for process automation
• Solution validation
  • Unit testing of Data Integration components
  • System testing
• Data Administrator training
  • Creation of data administrator training material
  • Impart training to data administrators in the customers team
• Providing customer support for a On-going/live implementation
  • Resolving data issues raised by the customer.
  • Interfacing with product development team to get any product issues addressed
  • Answering data related queries from the customer
• Manage Vistaar’s internal as well as staging database (RDBMS)
• Monitor/oversee periodic data loads.

The Ideal Candidate Would Demonstrate:

• Strong programming expertise on Unix/Linux and Windows operating environments
• Excellent and indepth knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and hands on experience creating ETL programs and a working knowledge of other RDBMS systems like SQL Server, MYSQL etc
• Hands on experience in Perl and Shell Scripting
• Proven capability to create complex scripts/queries in PL/SQL and Query Tuning/Optimization.
• Excellent documentation skills, with proven experience creating data spec documents.
• Experience working in creating ETL programs for large scale, complex, global enterprise applications.
• Working knowledge of managing third party software applications.
• Past experience in customer facing roles would be an added advantage.

Academic Qualifications:

 B.E/BTech (Computer Science or Information Technology streams preferred) from a reputed engineering college/university

Expected Experience:

• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

What Will You Do?

• Monitor plan v/s actual on project milestones; recommend and implement corrective action to reduce variance and take ownership of delivery of project milestones.
• Ensure compliance to project management and software delivery process; recommend and implement process improvements as necessary.
• Manage a team of highly skilled technical team members. Set and manage objectives and responsible for the performance of the team.
• works independently, and proceeds with objectives without supervision.
• Establish priorities and lead and direct team members to successfully accomplish project plan milestones.
• Review project estimates/status and prepare plan of action to ensure goals and milestones are achieved as per plan.
• Establish and foster strong working relationships that inspire trust, with externally, with Vistaar customer and internally, across different teams like quality control, software development and other peer groups .
• Proactively communicate risks and mitigation strategies with stakeholders & customers (external and internal).
• Meet and exceed customer satisfaction goals.
• Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Raise internal escalations when appropriate.
• Monitoring the tickets inflow and assign it to right person
• Create and present Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly project status report for all stakeholders.
• Demonstrate flexibility to perform any other related duties as required.

The Ideal Candidate Would Demonstrate:

• Expertise in Project Management and Problem-Solving skills
• Proven experience of working in a customer facing role and managing highly skilled technical teams.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; excellent communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills
• Hands-on experience in either Java, JavaScript or any other programming language
• Proven experience of delivering/deploying large scale, complex, global enterprise applications for Fortune 1000 companies, on AWS Cloud infrastructure.

Expected Experience:

• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a reputed software organization of which, at least 3 years should be as a project leader or 1-2 years as a project manager

Academic Qualifications:

• B.E/BTech (Computer Science or Information Technology streams preferred) from a reputed engineering college/university.
• MBA (or equivalent), preferably in systems or information technology from a reputed engineering college/university.
• B.Sc/B.Sc Tech graduates with PGDST/C-DAC, with exceptional grades and relevant experience are can also apply.
• A PMI certification would be an added advantage

What Will You Do?

• Lead a team of Software Engineers developing solutions and Web UI framework modules built on Sencha ExtJS, React & JavaScript.
• Train and mentor new team members.
• Actively participate in all relevant phases of the software development lifecycle, like requirement analysis, design & reviews.
• Deliver robust and maintainable software designs.
• Investigate and implement Web UI frameworks / libraries for potential use in Vistaar framework and solutions.

The Ideal Candidate Would Demonstrate:

• Through understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms and OO concepts.
• Good grasp of JavaScript concepts, coding styles, debugging and profiling techniques.
•  In depth understanding of CSS or SCSS for styling.
• Conceptual understanding of any web server or reverse proxy for hosting web applications
• Hands on experience in developing Javascript based Web UI modules with a strong experience in software development lifecycle and related processes and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills that provide flexible and well considered solutions.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
• Ability to “think outside the box”.
• Ability to learn and deploy new technology and development skills.

Expected Experience

• Prior experience in developing Web UI modules using jQuery, Angular, React, Vue, Svelte, Sencha ExtJS, etc.
• Prior experience with JavaScript or Web app test automation
• 3 to 7 years of experience in reputed software organization
• For people with 6-7 years of experience, at least 1 – 3 years should be as a Team / Tech Leader.

Educational Qualification

Engineering degree (preferably CS or Electronics Engg.), MCA, B.Sc. Tech. and / or PGDST/C-DAC. B.Sc. graduates with PGDST/C-DAC
